Abstract
Synthesis and investigation of a binary complex salt [Cr(NH3)5Cl][PdCl4]·H2O is reported. The compound is isostructural with [Rh(NH3)5Cl][PdCl4]·H2O studied earlier; it was characterized by element analysis and powder and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Crystal data for H17Cl5N5OPdCr: a = 7.8668(12) Å, b = 10.9703(16) Å, c = 16.048(2) Å, β = 102.469(3)°, space group P21/c, Z = 4, V = 1352.3(3)Å3, d calc = 2.155 g/cm3.
