Summary
The oscillating flow field of a viscous fluid in a pipe is considered. For the case of high viscosity, the leading terms of the second order solution (acoustic streaming) are given. They are used to explain the large differences between the thermal effects (heat transferred to the wall) in an incompressible fluid and in an ideal gas.
Zusammenfassung
Das Strömungsfeld eines zähen Fluids, das in einem Rohr schwingt, wird untersucht. Für den Fall grosser Zähigkeit wird die Lösung zweiter Ordnung (acoustical streaming) angegeben. Mit ihr werden die grossen Unterschiede in den thermischen Erscheinungen (Wärmeabgabe an die Wand) erklärt, die zwischen einer inkompressiblen Flüssigkeit und einem idealen Gas bestehen.
