Zusammenfassung
Anhand der Beschreibung und Reflexion einer universitären Lehrveranstaltung, die die Erkundung städtischer Affekte und Atmosphären mittels ethnographischer Praktiken zum Inhalt hat, umreißt unser Beitrag eine Pädagogik des Affekts und skizziert ihre Implikationen für den Sinnbegriff und das Theorem des sensemaking. Zunächst stellen wir kurz einen „nicht-repräsentationalen“ oder „mehr-als-repräsentationalen“ Zugang zur Ethnographie vor. Dessen Entfaltung in der Lehre führt uns zu Praktiken des Gehens als Techniken einer Ethnographie des Affekts – und ihren Bezügen zu einem forschenden Lehren und Lernen, vielleicht gar zu einer Schule des Erfahrens, die es der Sozialforschung besser ermöglicht, der affektiven Verfasstheit des Sozialen gerecht zu werden. Auf dieser Basis arbeiten wir ansatzweise die Implikationen für ein erneuertes Verständnis von sensemaking heraus, das die ausschließliche Bindung an Sprache und kognitive Mechanismen hinter sich lässt und sich affektiven und atmosphärischen Kräfteverhältnissen öffnet: Was Sinn „macht“, wird geprägt durch das, was sinnlich erfahrbar ist.
