Abstract

Nuclear medicine has an important role in benign and malignant bone diseases. Its role has been expanding significantly particularly in the diagnosis of many benign diseases which may not be detected by morphologic modalities. Table 7.1 summarizes the modalities used in the diagnosis of bone diseases and their main advantages.
