Abstract
Nuclear medicine is a relatively new and rapidly changing specialty that depends on the evaluation of function. It is based on examining the regional chemistry of the living human body using radioactivity. Nuclear medicine simply is the medical use of radioactive agents to diagnose and treat patients.
