Zusammenfassung
In diesem Beitrag werde ich versuchen, mich dem Problem der soziologischen Analyse medientechnischer Transformationen aus einer ungewohnten Perspektive zu nähern. Anstatt harten Medienwandel als Start zu nehmen, um die weichen sozialen Prozesse der Produktion, Verbreitung und Rezeption von Inhalten im Anschluss daran zu untersuchen, werde ich die Einrichtung, Etablierung, Nutzung, Umnutzung, Historisierung und Abschaltung medientechnischer Infrastrukturen selbst als komplexe soziale Prozesse der Ermöglichung und Einschränkung je aktuell möglicher Praxisformen beschreiben. Dabei werde ich auf konzeptionelle und heuristische Arbeiten aus dem Bereich der Wissenschaftsund Technikforschung zurückgreifen, insbesondere der relationalen, operativen und pragmatistischen Techniksoziologie.
