Abstract

A language for describing digital circuits is presented, which is both simple and powerful enough for use in both practice and education. A system is described which transforms program texts into fusemaps for PLDs or into configurations of FPGAs. These devices are used in laboratory exercises to test the designed circuits ranging from simple assignments to processor architectures and communication controllers.
